Former Upazilla chairman

Mujibnagar upazila was inaugurated in 2000. The first upazila election was held in 2009. Md. Amirul Islam, the first upazila chairman of Mujibnagar upazila was elected in 2009. Mr. Kamrul Hasan Chadu was elected Vice Chairman and Vice Chairperson of Women was elected Gulshanahar Begun. Later, in the 2014 election, Md. Amirul Islam - chairman and deleted Gulnahar Begum - female vice-chairman was re-elected. Vice Chairman was elected Mr. Muhammed Zarzis Hussain.
